YASHTIMADHU

Yashtimadhu is root of Glycyrrhiza glabra . It is also known as Liquorice ,  Jeshti madh , Mulhathi , Mulethi or simply Meethalakdi in common.
It is sweet in taste and dull or light brown outside and yellow inside. It is mainly used in Kapha or Pita Dosha treatments.It is also used with other ayurvedic herbs.
It is sold in whole or powdered form.
It is also manufactured and marketed in capsules by many leading ayurvedic pharmacies.
It is also sold in form of Yashtimadhu Grita (ghee).
Its extract is called Rub ulsoos or Jethimadh shira ,  that is blackish in color.
